Frankline N. Mbunu, CPA, CGFM, MBA, MPM
Mr. Mbunu specializes in helping businesses save thousands of dollars in taxes and increase profitability substantially. Recently, with innovative strategies and best business practices, Mr. Mbunu managed an effort which helped a medical supplies company automate and improve their accounting processes, identified more than $500K in cost savings and grow their profits by more than 250K within 180 Days. He has over 12 years of extensive experience in the areas of Tax, Accounting and Finance with small businesses, government entities and individuals. He enjoys helping businesses save time, money and tackle challenges that keep them up at night. There's nothing more exciting to Mr. Mbunu than putting smiles on clients' faces.
Mr. Mbunu also has extensive federal government experience. He is a former Federal Government employee with the Department of Defense (DOD) and a former soldier with the United States Army National Guard where he served as a Financial Management Specialist for six years. Mr. Mbunu has experience working for and partnering with top government contracting firms like CGI, Northrop Grumman, and Unisys Corp. Mr. Mbunu’s extensive experience with Federal Government entities include Internal Audit, United States Standard General Ledger (USSGL), business and financial processes improvement, Audit Readiness and Sustainment, Financial Systems implementation and functional supports, Financial Reporting and overall Federal Government Financial Management. Mr. Mbunu also has experience in data cleansing, Change Management, Project Management, training and motivation of personnel.
Mr. Mbunu is a graduate of Devry University where he earned a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Accounting; and a Masters of Project Management (MPM) degree. He also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Buea. Mr. Mbunu is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM).
He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants (VSCPA) and the Association of Government Accountants (AGA) – Northern Virginia Chapter.
Mr. Bong has over 11 years combined accounting, internal control, auditing and consulting experiences. He served in the Cameroon Cooperative Credit Union League (CamCCUL) Ltd as Audit Assistant / Internal Controller where he made sure CamCCUL’s affiliates operated as per internal Bylaws, Ministry of Finance (MINFI) and Banking Commission for Central African States (COBAC) regulations. At Lionheart Recruitment in London, UK he served as Accountant/Payroll Administrator where he worked on the company’s accounts/payroll and made sure they were up to date. At Asah Alpha Consulting (AAC) in Cameroon, he served as Auditor/Consultant and Yaoundé Office Administrator, and he was in charge of the northern regions of the country including Chad. He is exceptionally skillful in auditing and financial reporting. He is a seasoned internal controller. Hitherto, he has served as an Auditor in many developmental projects and micro finance institutions within Cameroon.
Mr. Bong holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with focus in Finance from the University Of Wales Institute Cardiff (UWIC), United Kingdom (UK) since 2011 and a Diploma in Payroll Management from the Home Learning College in the UK. He also obtained a Bachelors of Science (BSc) degree in Banking and Finance with a Second Class Upper from the University of Buea (UB), Cameroon.
